This documentary raised a lot of questions in my mind about a "system" in this country that's in place to brainwash and control the poor. Why would they deliberately segregate races, encouraging gangs racism and hatred, knowing full well the consequences and repercussions that can occur? Why in the hell are mentally and emotionally ill inmates left in solitary confinement for years without psychological help? It's clear: the plan is to divide conquer and destroy the undesirables in America.

@Canada09Hamburg I'm glad you chose not to be an asshole and blame all Americans for our problems. People complain that we hate other nations, but its not hard to hate other nations people when all those other nations are constantly making generalizations about over three hundred million people. Thanks dude.

Hey, as someone from Germany I really appreciate the fact that so many people from America try to learn German by watching these documentaries (Haha).
Now all joking aside, for everyone who is not capable of speaking German, just type in:
National Geographic America's Hardest Prisons S01E07 Part 1
There you'll find it in English.
One more thing: Please put thumbs up so this stays on top and people read it before starting this annoying arguments about language!!!!

That prison system is so inefficient. They "lockdown" people like meat and wonder why they continue to be so aggressive. The consequences are even worse: Nowhere in the civilised world are more recidivist than in the USA.
I really love many things about the usa...but in this case, they took the wronge path...
