Actually, I thinkmyou'll find that Nancy Wilson sang it before Charlene. She sounds like a woman whose been through a hard life, whereas, Charlene's sweetness belies the hard words!!

A great video and song; I liked your idea of cutting out the bit where she talks; I'm not really a fan of talking within a song - well done.

No disrespect to Nancy Wilson, but Charlene was the original singer and IMO the best. However I agree I'm not feeling this particular video. The one 1982 original vid here of \charlene singing gets cut off at the end such a bummer.
