This is an interesting dichotomy, how they use the smarmy salesperson as a representative against capitalism. Coupled with the occasional irony in the beginning examples of the goods of capitalism, I have to wonder if we're hearing the artist's real opinion in whole.

Um no. This is just straight 50's anti-communist, pro-capitalist propaganda. Not gonna comment on whether I agree or disagree; just saying the US is nothing nowadays like predicted at the end of this. The state is not the iron fist. Corporations, built from the capitalist system, are. The state is just a tool in their arsenal, something to be influenced into getting their way. That's why, though Obama wants change... no he can't. He can't change the fundamental global social system itself.

Shit was deep, but I think the hate and the jealousy is too deep to make most people humble themselves enough to realize the true problem and go back to a situation that will give everyone who lives in the USA a fair opportunity for success. There is so much miseducation and selfishness among the common American that most have embraced the idea of every man for his or her self and not realizing that community and society is a team effort. Each person doing their individual part for the whole.
