This male Woodchat Shrike was showing very well in the dunes from the public footpath at Llangennith Moors today. Some mystery surrounds the identity of the finder but, very well done whoever you are and I look forward to your next mystery finding! Amazingly it was too hot today for digiscoping video with the heat haze causing a real problem. Even so, it was a fantastic experience to see this rare visitor to Glamorgan. Check out the lizards tail bit, proof indeed that the evelutionary trick works well.

  • Nice footage. I was coming back to Swansea on the bus from Oxwich today, and I saw a black and white bird looking very similar to this perched on bramble bushes opposite Swansea airport.

  • Wow mark that's some awesome footage
