  • So...Prophets before Christ....during Christ (Christ himself)...and after Christ up until John but not now?

So for thousands of years we have needed prophets, because the people needed direction from God, but now it's to easy, because we have the Bible? Come on you guys sound completely blind.

God has always called prophets, the LDS church is the only one who is brave enough to claim a prophet as was Moses. Nobody else is.

  • Read NT accounts on prophets.. way different than OT view of prophets and LDS false view

  • Be aware. The devil also knows the scriptures. But he uses them for wrong purposes. The Pharisees also knew the scriptures but they crucified Jesus and killed the apostles. A testimony of a prophet can't be proved but it is given through the Holy Ghost.

"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 16:17)

"Ye shall know them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:16).

  • Do you know what the fruits are?

  • 8"But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have only one Master and you are all brothers. 9And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10Nor are you to be called 'teacher,' for you have one Teacher, the Christ.

  • I have a question, what about the prophets that came after Christ in the Bible? Was jesus really the last one? Or was the office of prophet only needed in the foundation building of the early church. But then that leads to- why does it say in revelations there will be 2 prophets?

  • Where are the women prophets in the LDS church? They were clearly in the Old testament and New Testament: Deborah, Miriam, Huldah, Nadiah, Anna. If this is clearly a restoration, why can't a woman ever be a prophet? No disrespect but, it looks like man once again wants to keep the power to himself.

  • what this guy said about prophets is very and totaly wrong.... he is basicaly saying that everyone in this generation dont need a prphet becuse we are each prophets unto our selves....

    very strange....

  • Yes, and he will tell what you must do to prepare. This is accomplished through prophets, children, people, inspiration, scriptures, or whatever means the Lord sees fit. The Lord reveals to the honest in heart, and conceals to those who are hard in their hearts. Surely the Lord will do nothing but he revealeth his secrets unto his servants the prophets.
