Written by Ben Hall - this was an early Holly hit recorded likely at the Decca studio in nashville in 1956 - note the Texas swing style from the country influence atthe recording studio (Bradley's barn in Jan 1956). the other side was Love me. a copy of that 45 would be worth a lot more than what would have been paid for it at the time!!

  • Buddy was a genius who played with so many genres and made them all rock and roll

    I remembering hearing a Chet Atkins record and thinking "now I know where Buddy Holly learned to play guitar."

    But Bo Diddley gave him the beat. And Richard Penniman gave him the tempo.
