Exactly. It seems more likely that in like 5-10 year's a 1000 dollar computer will be as smart as an average man if not smarter. Its all a matter of time until the technology trickles down. How long will it be until your cellphone outperforms your current computer? Not long, probably in like 3 years.

Indeed sources would be nice, but I dont think thats the purpose of this video. Its supposed to give you a view on how amazingly fast everything changes. And would it matter if it said "by research of the University of ..."? Of coarse they made (maybe big) mistakes in their calculations, but its to give you a general idea.
