The terrible state of our South Australia's Murray River. Images of the once great river taken from Hindmarsh Island in Goolwa South Australia. Images taken just 9 months apart. The place looks like a ghost town. It's time for the Federal Government to take charge!

  • Nice to see the water back!...hope it stays that way!

  • i went to the river murray and the water has gone up no drought its about 5 and a half deep wow its great now that the water has flown up but its kinda flooding a few houses

  • at last we have some decent water flowing back to the lower Murray

  • it makes you wonder why we have rice and cotton farmers up north in Qld. i have heard that when start their pumps it sucks so much water out of the murray the river flows backwards. for shame.

  • Thankyou for rectifying that innocent mistake batcopters

  • These photos were taken 9 months apart, not the 2 years as suggested. This highlights the shocking situation we are all in!

  • Excellent presentation of the sad state of the Murray.
