The idiots in the comment section I really can't believe the nerve :P
Anyway I think tornadoes in that area are very interesting, at first I did think these were just low hanging clouds, then I saw a little rotation in the funnel. So yeah great catch! :D

fuckin idiots

No need for the swearing, commenters!! And yeah, lukenolan107, it is a funnel cloud, but you are right- who's gonna type that in the search bar?
-
Looks like clouds to me. We get more funnel clouds in scotland than we do tornadoes.

but also the tornado didnt sink back into itself as if it ate its self as that is how a tornado that is forming but doesn't quite make it disappears but instead of doing that it began to separate which would NOT happen unless it was A .............................. CLOUD if you got that question right then give yourself a pat on the back or a round of applause BTW i changed my mind this isnt just for that guy its for everyone i just aggree with @fauldhousebiker

@crazycazedin just so ya know either way IF it was a tornado then it would definatly have been in the news there would have predicted it coming but if not when it started to form the meteorologists or whatever would have known about it then put in to the local news cos they would tell people to be prepared for any extreme weather conditions and so if the the LOCAL news didnt have the words"tornado in whitburn" or any words that could relate to the ones above then it probably didnt happen but....

kinda like the one i saw in galasheils
OK so it wasn't a twirling vortex. But who is going to type in 'Funnel Cloud in Whitburn (Scotland)'?
Also, it is the closest thing I've seen to one in Scotland.
