I never felt more empathy for a fictional character than Lew, I was so disappointed when he died. Him and Hank together were such a great team

I just finished watching season 2 and I was so sad when Lew died... Even though he made a lot of bad decisions and did some messed up things, you still wanted to like him because. I thought it was so sad the way he died, just seconds from talking to the love of his life and possibly rekindling their relationship

The song is by the late great Warren Zevon. They use a lot of his songs throughout the show and the writers even tend to use many of his song lyrics in the dialogue.

I like the bit where Hank is playing the drums and Lew does that fun dance. It because he like Hank as a buddy. Not because, musically, he's any good. This is what we do for people we care about.
The writters messed up taking out Lew. Especially after Karen leaves.

I don't think the song was gay - It's a great song with beautiful lyrics. Hank and Lew were "kindred souls". They actually seemed to like each other sometimes difficult for men who are such "players" and in competition with one another. I think Lew was probably more like Hank than Hank in season 2. I fell in love/lust with the Lew Ashby "bad boy with a broken heart character" and was really disappointed that he had to die... Besides CKR is not bad to look at!!!
