Short video of my blue lights and of my car. I use the blue lights when responding to emergency's and the amber lights for emergency's and also while storm chasing. Please forgive any mis spellings either here or in the vehicle, Prior to making the video I had just came off a 12hr shift at work, now ready to enjoy a 3 day weekend.

  • Did you have to run any wires through your firewall? if so how did you go about doing that. I have an 02 Taurus and trying to figure out how to run my TIR3 wires through. No one knows where any holes with gromets would be. Please help

    thanks

  • Hi Sims, not sure how much difference there is between the '03 and '02, I doubt there's too much. Anyways, I found a hole with a plug in it just to the left of the fuse box on the drivers side. I put a small slice, big enough to run the wire through and ran it through the firewall that way. Any more questions I can try to help with, just send a quick email. Thanks

  • what brand leds do you have on the back deck? They hurt my eyes in the video (lol) They look really good!

  • I'm currently using Signal LED's in the back and I believe Whelen LED's up in the front. And the amber halogen's are galls. Thanks for viewing

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • I doubt I'll put in the CB. I've had one for quite a while, but I'm so tired of all the crap that is on them anymore. What I may do instead is take out a scanner? and add a ham radio probably in the 2 meter range. But that will be sometime after I get my license. So I may just go that route.

  • nice, not too flashy, a chaser doesn't need a million and one lights

  • haha i have that same scanner

  • @sims7992 if you can't find ne holes in ur firewall alrdy u can drill (make sure u check both sides of the fire all of where ur drilling so as not to hit nething) and purchase a grommet to keep the hole from cutting the wires. But i drilled in my 98 camry when i had it no porb. Ur other alternative is to run it up thru ur fender to ur engine or thru the hole ur fuse box uses that leads to ur engine. I'm sure this is late considering u posted 2yrs ago but i lyk assisting if i can :)

  • Hey there, I dont know if i heard your video right, but you said "I use a motorola 10 meter radio for fire dept and chasing". Well how can public service use the Ham radio band? I would really check to make sure you are giving the right infromation. Over all nice job with the lights.

  • Hey Steve, do you have a plan for how you built your laptop mount? Id love to copy it

  • what amatuer radio class are you

  • I see the skywarn sticker. i used to live in Des Moines and am now in South Dakota. Im a ham. Nice vehicle

  • You should clean up that wiring behind the radio equipment, get some wire loom and zip ties and wrap it up all up! Right now it looks like a vehicle fire waiting to happen. Maybe even spray paint that piece of wood black to give it a cleaner look...?
