Jaco did not only play a fretless bass! There are plenty of videos where Jaco played a fretted bass, for example in his instructional DVD he had changed the neck to fretted. And also he practiced on a fretted bass to better improve his intonation on a fretless bass. Also as he put it the strings ate up the neck on his original bass so he had to only play it for shows.

Fair effort

@bronzehydra3 more difficult to read... definitely. more difficult to memorize.... defintley. but YYZ does contain more technically difficult parts.... i guess its subjective though, like anything
-
@GuiseppePipes This song is DEFINITELY much more difficult
-
-
Im gonna catch shit for this, but why is Geddy Lee's YYZ part is simply more difficult, technically, to play.
-
Nice one, really.
Hi Brent!!!! Amazing cover!!!!! I've got the same Fodera but...What's the EQ do you use for this song (in the bass)????!!!!! Thanks!

@javibasseden Hey, I pretty much always run my bass flat with a little bass boost, but I'm sure I was rolled pretty hard toward the bridge pickup to get that Jaco tone. Every room and situation is different, but that should get you in the general area!
