Slicing Longboard Veneer

Had a melt down on our Bansaw the other week. Took the time to rework it and replace some worn bearings. Also added an new experimental guide/support for the wood as it goes through the saw.

This video is a test of it's accuracy. It works very well and we were able to slice 40 veneer that day with no problems.

Years ago we built a very elaborate resaw machine that we just couldn't ge to work accurately enough, so we toree it apart and went back to the slow way. The support in this video has opened the door toward redesigning the resaw machine.
