Even turning the boat over can inflict damage in it, but even if it doesn't look damaged that could have weakened it and it might break some fins while you are cruising

Yah..Take the shoes off to avoid scratching that faded gelcoat, but run the engine with no coolant...That make sense...NOT!!!
Chunks of dried impeller running through the cooling system probably caused the engine to die, which might have saved this idiot from a total disaster.
