as a kid, i was terrified playing this part because like i said, it's not the usual boss theme that usually pumps you up and give you confidence in a fight and it really caught me off guard. The result is it made me very cautious on my attacks to see how he would counter (supernova= QQ)

In short, the theme is made to emphasize a new definition of fear, which is what makes it great and it becomes memorable to players because of that very reason

you guys don't seem to understand what the correlation of this song and sephiroth at all. I believe Uematsu wanted something a bit more special for a boss battle music rather than just one fast-beat-generic theme like the millions of others out there.

I believed he focused a lot more on how to portray the boss itself since well, you ARE in his lair while you fight him here. He wanted a song that would truly magnify Sephiroth's power to almost godlike status against the player.

This is the kind of song that makes you afraid to fight Sephiroth. There is no way this song CAN'T instill fear into the players.

@Xyntech06 Dancing Mad made me feel more like I was fighting a god than this song. However, this song does have a very different feel to it than normal boss battles.

The problem is that by the time you have killed Ruby and Emerald weapon, sephiroph doesnt last long enough to get to the music.
