when he says the F word all I get is Fuck, but Gay Cooperj/k is referring to Faggot to many words people are attempting to niche out. People should certainly be polite if we want to live in a world that we can enjoy, but the fact is being homosexual or gay is not the ideal way. @ryan33bttm Some people are more private than others. There's plenty of people in similar positions that are straight that don't talk much about their personal lives. What do you want him to do differently? Start talking about his boyfriend, or saying "Hi I'm gay" before he states his opinions? He doesn't need to use his sexuality to be effective. @JJHulaOfficial I'm sorry to differ with you but Anderson has reached celebrity status over the years. Simple news anchors do not usually end up having their own talk shows or doing the guest appearance circuit as he has. To be fair, there is no concrete information that confirms his sexuality. The gay speculation stems from his neutral personality (neither overtly masculine nor particularly feminine), but common sense suggests that mannerisms alone do not define sexuality. We can only guess.

@ryan33bttm but the difference is Ellen is a celebrity and Anderson is a news anchor. He's doing his job remaining neutral...that's not hiding. It's pretty widely known that Anderson is gay but its not an issue...his sexuality shouldn't matter because his job is to report on news not tell everyone he's gay...! He's also a great role model for the LGBT community because he doesn't let his sexuality define him as a news anchor.

I’m sorry, but Anderson Cooper has no right to say anything about the issue of gay bullying. Likable though he may be, he is ultimately a coward who feigns a nonsensical notion of “journalistic neutrality” as an excuse to remain very comfortably (and very spinelessly) in the closet while people like Ellen DeGeneres have the guts to be honest about who they are and take the flack for it.
