This was where we sat down for a quick break and bite to eat. Within minutes of not walking the cold became really apparent. The waterfall we had to cross which can be seen in the video was actually still flowing despite snow covering the top. Whilst I was crossing it my foot went straight through the snow and I fell through it up to my thigh. All I could see below me was running water. That's when it hit home how dangerous a place Ben Nevis can actually be, especially in the height of winter.
