Stages 2 and 3 of the journey home with the overnight train from KL to Butterworth (which was the same train and we even had the same seats as from Singapore to KL) then following a little ferry excursion over to Penang to have a quick look at Georgetown the International express from Butterworth to Bangkok sleeper service. The first train cost about £15 and the second one about £22.
