But that's the problem with A-Rol. At a very high level, you're are not going to get many chances to break the opponent's guard, even with all his tools. Which basically amounts to using his meter almost solely for ACs. In fact, most of the time you'll be trying to stave off the opponent's advances while landing occasional damage. With V, you're better equipped to fight against V-ISM; can use a versatile yet difficult VC to prevent 'dishonest' activations, and gain a superior AC.

Nice combos man, but V-rolento is not the strongest version of Rolento.
Even though japanese play him only V-ism, he is clearly stronger in X or A imo.
His V options are not interesting, and his pokes are so great you need more damages. Also when you guard break, with V-ism you cant do much.

does the combo with the cr. lk's to the overhead create an ublockable situation?

@iammeesothere Yup. The shadow of the cr. lk's must be blocked low while the overhead is high, and since it hits at the same time it's unblockable.

i could never figure out how to do the crouch cancel with rolento without getting the d, u command jump. good shit though, rolento is so stylish, especially in a3

Press and hold down as soon as you leave the ground. Since the command jump requires you to tap it quickly, holding down avoids that.
