Sometimes CPR and defibrillation aren't enough. In this clip from The Abyss, Ed Harris demonstrates the importance of slapping Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio to achieve a good neurological outcome. Valuable lesson for all emergency professionals.

  • @plutogirllovekj I second that.

  • Is this a video about Internet Explorer?

  • The making-of on the DVD describes without any hipocrisy the nightmare the shooting of "The Abyss" was : delay, wait, stress, exhaustion, exposure, executives' anger and concerns, the director's tough and uncompromising will or ideas.... all the crew seemed ready to crack, but the one dude who kept the whole bunch together was... James Cameron himself, enduring even more sufferings and pressure than every other in the team. As riveting as the movie itself, recommended after watching the film !

  • thumbs up if you first saw this on South Park and recognized it here...Imaginationland

  • @HarpoTheVillain

Yes, because I was very concerned that HarpoTheVillain of youtube might be upset with me. Honestly, it was keeping me up nights.

  • @Robological Even if that's true, it's still quite disrespectful given the context. And don't you worry, I'm not pissy with YOU, keep your pantyhose on. And disrespectful people can fuck off for all I care.

  • @HarpoTheVillain

He was pissing himself laughing at the Vet's comment about not being gay, which was slightly homophobic. He wasn't talking about the scene at all. And don't get all pissy with me about language after telling people to fuck off, moron.

  • @Robological You're not respecting a person's feelings by 'pissing yourself laughing' at learning of them. It's low and disrespectful. This is a powerful scene, and we gotta be gentle about the reactions to it. And don't call me a moron, please.

  • @HarpoTheVillain

How is he disrespecting him? You're a moron.

  • @youknowhow123 Fuck off. Don't disrespect the man for having a goddamn heart.
