Karan Johar gets wake call from MNS - Part 1

Filmmaker Karan Johar got a rude wake-up call on Friday when Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists protested the use of Bombay instead of Mumbai in his latest movie Wake Up Sid as soon as it was released.Even as angry activists vociferously protested the movie and tried to disrupt its screening in at least two south Mumbai cinemas, a harried Karan rushed to meet MNS chief Raj Thackeray at his Shivaji Park residence.

This is so embarrasing for Indians worldwide! We're shouldn't be so insecure about calling our city with the old name or the new name! Its all the common spoken names that we use in everyday life! Political parties need excuses to gain the confidence of the lower class for votes! What difference does it make if we call it Bombay or Mumbai? Should we interernationally change India to Bharat now???

na i'm sure it was called bombay before an i did see some vids on the city name being changed to mumbai loong time back an besides in the olden times movies (90's) movies titles were also like bombay , bambai ka babu etc, even in dialouges they used to say we wanna go bombay etc, mumbai i heared around the yr 2000 an anyways why protest for silly things mumbai or bombay end of the day it's still gonna be in india lol
