Israeli-Syrian Olive wood is some of the most prized woods in the world for its exotic contrasting grain structure. A beautiful wood for inlays, carving applies, and small unique products. The Custom Carving workshop is located in the Jerusalem Hills, at 3000 meters just outside the city, where orchards of Olive trees have been growing for thousands of years. We collect these ancient logs wherever we can using environmentally friendly methods. They are milled on site, then carefully cured in the studio for years before use. This video details the milling process, which brings us from the field to beautiful useful planks.
