Although I'm hoping to do some deeper analysis of the first Democratic presidential candidates debate of the 2008 election season, here is my candidate for "Best one-liner" of the night.

You can find the entire debate on the MSNBC website at: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18326264

  • man of few words, and it worked XD

  • Haahahaha! xD Look at Biden now, he's terrible.

  • Joe "Hair-Plugs" Biden is such a moron---nearly a functioning illiterate.

Geez, a one-word answer. Well, notice I said "nearly".

    Some day, Joe---some day.

  • @slashboy346 To say that the party he was in is the be all and end all somewhat implies that because George Wallace was a Democrat, the Democratic Party today is made up of racists and segregationists. Deeply flawed logic. Lincoln wouldn't recognise the GOP of today, that's for sure. And on a separate note, it was LBJ, a Democrat, who passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. So you're simply factually incorrect there.

  • Your voice makes my ears bleed.

  • John Edwards ? Are you fucking KIDDING ???

  • @Griffinltd But joe biden does it, and he gets a laugh and a vice president position. They stereotype when they try saying all tea partiers are racist, or all republicans are racist, then cry and scream when somebody bash's obama calling it mudslinging though they do the exact same thing. Obama has done nothing to adress the crisis, only push his own agenda, and biden is a idiot.

  • @Griffinltd Really now so he was liberal? you can say that all he wants but that doesnt change the fact he was registered republican now does it? Or how about civil rights being passed by a republican? Im not a republican, I hate both parties, but I hate the left more because there ideology contradicts itself, as well as them constantly double standering and stereotype. I mean, if a republican got this question and he answered with a yes, bill maher would be making fun on them on his next show.

Your comment is deeply flawed with fallacy - because obviously a political party of the 19th century is compatible in every manner to those we have today right?

Parties change, the definition of an ideology does not. Burkean conservatism, the same many contemporary conservatives identify with, didn't even support the right of the working class to vote. I don't care which party Lincoln belonged to, his policies reflected that of a socially progressive liberal.
