Played this in the Spartan Hockey Band in 1977-78. Thought Bill Wiedrich wrote it, and then took it to Oklahoma when he got the gig there.

I'm a former clarinet player who now plays tenor saxophone in the Spartan Marching Band. Sax is a pretty easy instrument to learn, especially if you play clarinet. I was mad too when I found out there weren't any clarinets in the SMB, but now I couldn't be happier I learned sax to join this band. So don't let learning a new instrument discourage you! =)
FUCK NOTRE DAME and their gay quarterback Jimmy Clausen! MSU OWNS ND!!!!!

Now I KNOW that someone from the Jackson State Band is NOT talking about marching style! That band marches very sloppy and flat footed!!
