  • can i ask what WOT is? i dont fully understand it myself.

  • @iCtrlAltAssault Wide Open Throttle

  • This thing pulls pretty good for being stock, Did the 3.73s Really wake it up? I have the stock 3.08's and im trying to get 3.73s, just wanting to know if there is a big difference or not. Thanks!

  • @GrantEvanGriffith

Definately! One of the best dollar/Hp ratio increase you could do

  • that is slow!

  • @DIENAMICProductions

    watch the pull WOT

    this vid is stock too

  • Well first of all its 55 thats red lol.

Second...I don't really know why. My guess is that was the standard speed limit most highways back in the day?

  • I wasn't even on the gas till 50mph. Watch the video response.

If you really think it took me 23 sec to get 95 you're an idiot, just sayin'. Maybe you should read the description

  • @freeloader700 its actually the time you would shift it into overdrive to give you the optimal gas mileage

  • @GrantEvanGriffith and dont let people tell you that it kills your mileage cuz even a 4.10 would still give u amazingly decent mileage

  • @GrantEvanGriffith 3.73's would probably keep decent driveability in the low end but offer you that kick. My Porsche 928 S4 5 speed has 2.73's... unfortunately, and would you believe the early 80's 928's had 2.20's!!?? That's why the 316HP bone stock number doesn't actually feel very fast. Still, it was always built for high speed cruising not stop light racing.

  • @thinkpad411 So you think the 4.10s really woke it up? I have a 99 GT now with 3.27s, but im thinking about turning to 3.73s to give it a little more help

  • Why do mustang drivers not rev it to the red?? My friend does the same shit

  • @GrantEvanGriffith Go for 4.10's!! Haha, well, you won't be able to cruise at freeway speeds for very long with 4.10's but, makes it fast as fuck in the 1/4 mile assuming you have a well running 5.0.

  • @freeloader700 About how much would you guess to put 3.73's in the rear-end? Did you have to get the speedometer re-configured? I have a 1991 LX 5.0 and I hate the stock gearing!!!! Thanks!

  • @freeloader700 nope its for the best fuel economy in 5th gear

  • @freeloader700 gears don't gain Hp.... but we know what you mean...

  • @freeloader700 every highway was max 55. the 65 MPH speed limit was only just recently introduced

  • @GrantEvanGriffith I got 8.8's on my '87 Saleen.

  • @GrantEvanGriffith I dropped 6 tenths in the quarter going from 3.08 to 3.73 in a stock engine light bolt on 1990 GT.

  • i know it was stock (read one of the comments) but still slow as hell for being the almighty V8..

stock for stock my 24 year old toyota will shit on this thing.

  • @donpatch123456789 i dont know the exact years but the national speed limit was set at 55mph in America. It wasnt set at 55 for safety reasons but for fuel economy. Anything over 55 was considered to be wasting fuel

  • @GrantEvanGriffith if you are staying N/A, do 4.10's. The argument that I want to drive it on the highway, that most people use is BS. If that's the case then 3.27 - 3.55 gears are what they want.

The difference between 3.73's and 4.10's in 5th gear is only 222rpm.

  • @freeloader700 Gears don't increase HP.

  • @GrantEvanGriffith way better 0-60 times...bigger difference than if u get headers and exhaust i loved my 373 ive had 410 also but they have bad top end

  • @GrantEvanGriffith extremely. lower mpg by a bit but better performance

  • @stirrett1 yup, and I still have the 2.73 in my car LOL. Too big of gears. Cant wait to pu tthe 3.73 soon .

  • didnt the 5.0 come with 2.73 gears? cause ive got 3.73s in my 86 and it does wake it up alot

  • hey check mine out on my profile.. its labled 93 mustang

  • @freeloader700 my dad has one that used to have the stock 85MPH speedo, but he switched it out for a ford racing one that went to 160
