Whilst cycling through the Clyde tunnel I heard an acoustics test being run by a couple of local Rangers supporters. I can only assume that some musical event is planned in the future and that these 'gentlemen' had the job of testing it.

Good acoustics, not so great performance....

  • How small is your camera? Helmet mounted?

You should devise some kinda of reality show with it.

  • It's pretty small. I don't actually wear it on my helmet! I wear mine on a head band that sits just below my helmet. It is not much bigger than a lipstick and weighs just slightly more as well.

  • Hi. Do you always cycle through the tunnel? Dont you ever get scared? I'd love to be able to cycle through it because I live in the west end and it'd be so much quicker for some of my journeys but I'd be terrified! Have you ever had any trouble in it? Love your videos....thank you so much for highlighting the dangers we face on the roads!

  • I generally cycle through at 8am and 5:15pm each day and I can honestly say I have never had problems. Sometimes folk hang around in the tunnel, but they have never bothered me.

The biggest problem is glass. You need bombproof tyres (marathon pluses!)

Of course being a bloke with a black belt in judo probably helps, but I have seen woman cycling and walking through there. There is one woman who walks through there at the same times and me regularly.

  • Great Vid!

  • i agree

  • Sounds like the lost souls of cyclists who entered the tunnel and never left.

  • :O)

  • Up to their knees in cyclist blood, no doubt.

  • That's the problem you see. I have plenty of detractors (and plenty of supporters of course!). Occasionally reasonable points are raised, which is fair enough. I take them on board. But more often than not, arguments are based on mistruths and ignorance of the facts. Just be sure of your facts before you come wadding in next time....
