that was the worst christmas ever - sufjan stevens - banjo

Thanks to siahdaneh (Toronto, Canada) for suggesting this song - I love it!!! I quite like singing christmas songs in October too - nothing wrong with that!
After an uninspired period I now have lots of great song suggestions to be working on so thanks all and watch this space!

The basic guitar chords are:
D Am C Em

so on the banjo:

0230 (D)
2210 (Am)
2012 (C)
2002 (Em)

start the progression off by playing on the fourth string - open then second fret then open on the third string

then hit the D chord

then I do a run down on the third string 4th to 2nd fret to open string (i think I do this between verses cos it's hard to do when singing)

then hit the Am chord and you can do a hammer on here with your second finger

then the C - again you can do a hammer on with but with the first finger

then the Em

that is pretty much it

Really though i do hope you keep on making songs and doing covers. As cheesy as it may sound, if ever i get in from work and im stressed or tiered, i put on any of your videos and they cheer me up and...blaa, ive just ran out of cheesiness =P thanks a lot : )
