For 1500 years, Beta Israel held onto their Jewish traditions in Ethiopia, praying on the Sigd holiday to one day return to Jerusalem. This year, Israel celebrates with them. By Sara Sorcher

"Sigd" simply means "prayers" in Amharic. Why doesn't it occur to all these talking heads to mention what the word mean?

didn't know that Ethiopians also have jewish holiday of their own.
I marrocan and we also have jewish holiday that just marrocan jews celebrates, called "Mimuna", it's right after Passover.
