This episode of North Country Matters presents a conversation about about Public Education Funding in New York State. The
participants are New York State Assemblywoman Addie Russell, who serves the 118th "River" District in St. Lawrence and Jefferson Counties and Ann Carvill, a former School Board President at Potsdam Central School. They discuss the Governor's education funding proposals for schools in the North Country and what citizens can do to advocate for fair and equitable funding.




North Country Matters is a civic media education series produced by WCKN, student run Cable television (channel 30) and the Center for Excellence in Communication Clarkson University. This is a partnership production of Clarkson's Center for Excellence in Communication, St. Lawrence County Chapter of the American Association of University Women, the Saint Lawrence County League of Women Voters and SeedCorn.
