I wonder if the 'flashing' of the lights was originally indeed connected to the temple blocks? They seem a bit busy to me? But it's a very nice organ, playing very well!

If I remember correctly, I connected the flash switch to the bass drum. But there was no tubing intact when I got the organ, so I have no idea where A Bursens had it connected.

The lighting changes are normally connected to the registers.

Most of the smaller Decap cafe organs use the lighting in this way.

There is only one change which basically just blinks more lamps on and off. I changed it to the snare drum roll and like it there best. In the video it was connected to the high hat cymbal. I added the lamp to light up the Accordion keyboard when it is switched on.

Is it just me, or does part of the Woody Woodpecker song sound like a demented rip-off of "When the Red, Red, Robin Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin' Along"?

0:39-0:44 (bars 9-12 of the chorus of "Woody Woodpecker") sounds a lot like bars 25-28 of the chorus to "When the Red Red Robin...". Then again, there are some of other 20's tunes that use a similar passage, namely "When the Nightingale Sings"; perhaps it was a "bird" in-joke?
