midget: I think you misunderstand. I am not saying that Bungle DID style-bite from RHCP, rather, I am expressing how and why RHCP made that accusation. When I first heard of the beef between the two bands, I couldn't figure it out, as I had only heard the debut Bungle CD from Warner Brothers. As you know, that album is much UNLIKE the Peppers as it incorporates more metal, jazz, and carnival than RHCP. All I am saying is now I understand why Keidis, right or wrong, said what he did.

@sdarbro Bungle didn't bite from RHCP,Funk/Metal was a underground staple of California before the Chili Peppers,RHCP just brought it into the mainstream

A lot of this early stuff does seem very RHCP-ish. I think I see where Keidis was coming from when he claimed they were style biting. Songs like JUMPING definately show a severe punk/funk approach. In time they evolved beyond anything RHCP were into or capable of, though. It really is an interesting study to listen to these old archives of bungle. Thanks artsyfairie08. You are a wealth of all my favorite music!
