This is just a video of me coding some simple game stuff using Netbeans and testing it in the wireless tool kit. I have speeded it up a bit.

This is generally how games are made, code a bit, compile, test, code a bit more, compile test - repeat for a year or so :-) When speeded up it looks a lot nicer, more like an artist tweaking his canvas.

  • wow how boring.... theyve yet to make a videogame engine that doesnt requiere lines of codding and script kodu or what ever for xbox kind of is the only software that kind of does that and maybe game maker but yeah good luck with that lol. I cant stand having to write line after line after line of code so not for me.... pass... +1 to the video tho thanks for sharing uploader u hav the patience wich i lack to be a good programmer! *respect*

  • @notmorefat im in the same boat as you but apparently if you get a videogame engine (wich limits you to the engine) you can well... get into it a bit faster.. im still lost so i cant give u advice but check out UDK (unreal dev kit) it comes with a free game so even if u suck at programming at least u get a good game UNREAL TOURNAMENT. I don't know how to use it and played the game lol. :)

  • holy shyt!! i thought video games was just drawing the shapes and stuff, now my dream is broken

  • @xBattlewoundx it can be, im learning it right now and it is fun, alot more typing then other languages. defiantly could make you money, just go to be original.

  • this is netbeans but i use both - netbeans for java/j2me and eclipse for android/blackberry, they both have their pros and cons

  • where shoud i study from to become a gud java games developer??

any ebooks available online...plz let me knw...

  • I am soooo not a programmer!

However, I am studying to be a graphic artist/animator in College right now!

So maybe I will create a hit game yet!

    = : )

  • @2BeLivin

haha check the code for any game you'll see many ifs, nothing dirty about it. Plus there arent that many anyway.

  • This has too much "ifs", Dirty.

  • I have netbeans and maybe mobility pack. I installed nokia s40 emulator and it started working, but my pc can't handle the emulator XD It stucks
