I was in a small village in Vietnam where I met someone who had served in the war and spoke german, english, french, vietnamese, and his ethnic language!
He wanted to show me his rice wine distillery and shared this instrument with me. SORRY FOR THE VIDEO BEING SIDEWAYS - I am without the program to flip it the right way here in Vietnam.

  • Hi, this could be a "M'buot" - could you tell us the name of the ethnic tribe where you recorded this? Thank you for uploading!

  • It was in a village called SA LAT about 9 hours north of Ho Chi Mihn City but he didn't have a name for it (that I remember) but he made it himself. Your guess on the instrument is as good as mine :)
