"Boxes" - Church Youth Group Emotion Skit

Youth group skit showing how faith can change sorrow into joy, greed into giving, fear into security, stress into peace, hate into love, and pride into humility. Written by Stu Cocanougher and presented by TBC Youth. Stars Christy Thompson, Angela Cox, Nick Vega, Galan Aldaco, Shae Cargill, Kevin Cox, and Brian Carr. (This skit is a very useful one for teaching youth how to act!)

Some people have shown an interest in what music I used. I used clips from:

* Hate: "When Humanity Is Cancer" from Anaal Nathrakh's "The Codex Necro"

* Stress: "Saving Buckbeak" and "The Knight Bus" from John Williams's "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"

* Pride: "2001: A Space Odyssey Fanfare" from 101 Strings Orchestra's "Science Fiction Movie Music" (a.k.a. "Also sprach Zarathustra," composed by Richard Strauss)

* Christian: "Give / Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" from Third Day's "Offerings II - All I Have to Give"

this is church youth group, everyone gets close during junior high and high school. once freshmen year of college starts eveyone disappears.

Actually, this was a "student" trip, which included high school and college students. (I was one of the college students.) A lot of people disappear, but not everybody!

This is an awesome video and we plan to do the skit at our bible school. I have ordered the songs but I would like to show my students the skit! Is there any way that I can download the skit so I can take it to church to show my students? We are in a rural area and do not have internet capability!

This is great. We used this for our Backlot Fest (Halloween Alternative). We made it our own by painting the boxes a dark brown. The emotions were listed in Spanish and English with the font used emphasizing the emotion. We changed the music a little and added Jesus. He helped the evangelizer and at the end, He stood with arms extended, covered by the boxes placed in front of Him. Our closing song was "Hero" by Abandon. Powerful. Thank you for doing this.
