Fly tying a simple easy to tie black midge larva pupae pattern. Very effective as a dropper fly or shallow water nymphing. I like the copper ribbing for fly fishing our upper Midwest tannin bog stained trout waters.

To clarify: TMC 2487 is the thinner diameter hook which goes down to size 24. TMC 2457 is a thicker hook which goes down to size 18.

Correction: At the end I say half hitch tool, but I grabbed my whip finish tool, doh! I meant to use and show a half hitch tool.
