Oskar the Blind Kitten & Klaus: Feline Bromance in Omaha

Oskar and Klaus have become inseparable. They spend all day either cuddled up together sleeping, or playing together, or eating out of the same bowl. If you want a cat to lay on your lap, you better be ready to take two. It's all very cute actually and we are so happy that Klaus has accepted Oskar! In these clips from December of 2011, Oskar is 7 months old and Klaus is around 8 years old (we are not really sure since he was adopted as an adult). As a bit of background info, Oskar was born completely blind (his eyes never developed) and Klaus' right ear was damaged when he was a stray.

How does Oskar jump up and down to and from the bed if he can't see?

@IndignantSkeptic He memorized where everthing is in our place, and he gets around as well as a cat with full vision. He spends part of each day exploring and figuring out where everything is. His sense of smell helps him find things too (as well as very acute hearing). Take care!

@Emilysmarties1 We will take them out on good quality harnesses once it warms up. We have a nice outdoor spot in mind too - away from all cars and other hazards.

you and your wife are beautiful people God bless your souls. Everyone is so obsessed with getting 'new' and 'pretty' kittens and discard them when they are no longer babies. When I'm old enough to get my own place I'll be adopting one or two cats that have been neglected or abused. (my dads allergic to cats)
