It would have been ALOT longer, if a draft didn't close the window. Stupid window.

Anyways, here is an 20 minutes worth of footage shrunk down to 10 seconds.

  • how do you do a time lapse on a d3000?

  • @robbyd831 Work out how long you want the time lapse to go on for, and how long the end video you want to make is.

    e.g.

    2hr time lapse in 15sec.

    15*24fps=360frames 2hr*60min*60sec=7200sec 7200sec/360frames=20sec

    So, take 1 photo every 20secs for 2hours for 15secs of footage. To take the photos i used some freeware camera control software and tripod to keep it still. Try to keep the settings on the camera the same for consistency

    Then stitch the images together into a video and you're done!
