So, take 1 photo every 20secs for 2hours for 15secs of footage. To take the photos i used some freeware camera control software and tripod to keep it still. Try to keep the settings on the camera the same for consistency
Then stitch the images together into a video and you're done!

@robbyd831 Work out how long you want the time lapse to go on for, and how long the end video you want to make is.
e.g.
2hr time lapse in 15sec.
15*24fps=360frames 2hr*60min*60sec=7200sec 7200sec/360frames=20sec
