This group owns the copyright to the name "The Stylistics". They are the original members, except for Harold Eban Brown, who replaced Russell Thompkins who left the original group to strike out on his own- didn't make it. He did record another album with the original group in the nineties. There is a great medley of their hits on it. Thompkins now tours with a group called "Russell Thompkins and the New Stylistics" cuz he doesn't own the name. Thompkins and Brown both have incredible voices.

I guess I'm just too "Old School" then. The thing that gets me is that people who had nothing to do with the original works are capitalizing on the old names. They are obviously trying to rope people in with good memories of the original groups, when many of the original artists end up getting left out in the cold.

We love this group!! In fact, we decided to do "PEOPLE MAKE THE WORLD GO ROUND" in a studio jam session we were having! We don't claim to be the Stylistics at all, but we really did a great job!!! Our page is 4KINGTV and the song is on the second half of the "KING LIVE STUDIO PERFORMANCE" video!
