Orlando Florida thunderstorm

June 2007 thunderstorm while we were staying in Kissimmee at the Best Western Lakeside Maingate West.
Local area lost power after small tornado bought down powerlines about 1/2 mile away.

Well we'll be back at the same hotel in october ! I don't think there are as many storms that time of year (shame cus i love them !!!).

ive been to florida in may 2001. it rained 9/14 days those storms are powerful but the pass so quickly

the last time i was in Florida in summer, i was about 2 or 3 years old and on a cruise. i remember sitting in the porthole in our room just watching a storm and saying "there goes another one, dad!" referring to the lightning. i had never really seen lighting before, just heard the thunder. one of my favorite memoriess

watching this i could actually smell the rain , the odour of the rain on the tar , the burnt ozone , the tremors that you feel from the great claps of thunder , FANTASTIC , I WANT TO GO BACK

ive just came back and i stayed at that hotel too, we had rain and thunderstorms for like 5 days straight i was in the pool and i came up from under the water and saw a massive lighting bolt come down, every1 ran out of the pool :P ahah

was proper scary!

I too was on holiday in central florida in May '01 (the last time), although I hardly saw any rain at all in the 3 weeks I was there from 5/5 to 26/5, just the odd shower for about 2 or 3 days, except on our penultimate day (25/5/01) where I remember a trough of storms passing through the orlando area & some of the news bulletins were posting severe thunderstorms watch out; we in england moan about the weather oh so much, but when it rains there in florida, it REALLY RAINS - HARD!

Hey..thank you for saying somethign back to me. i live in floirda around mims. but we dont have weather like that all the time. its really like when we get a Hurricane's and stuff we may get some tornados. btw i have alot of videos of tornado around this area cocoa beach and stuff you you wanna look go for it np. anywaz thank you
