This is a much bigger issue than just Texas A&M, or even all of higher education. Our policy decision process has been hijacked by "think" tanks, mostly to the Right of the political spectrum. Now there's even a private legislature service, almost exclusively to the Right of the spectrum, ALEC, writing laws that are passed with little or no change in many states.

This is the conservatives engaged in social engineering just as surely and seriously as was done by Stalin and Hitler. Rick Perry has a good deal in common with Stalin but one quote in particular from Uncle Joe comes to mind: "we don't want the people to have guns. Ideas are more powerful than guns. I took a class with Dr. Grunlan back in 2008 just before graduating. He was an excellent professor then and his pursuit of excellence was apparent.. I hope the board of regents listens to his statements.

I love my school, no... I LOVE MY SCHOOL. I just graduated from the best university in this country. I want to make sure that it is in the right hands. Ladies and gentleman, Texas A&M is a PREMIER university. We must keep it that way, us, the recent grads, the former students. The next generation of leaders. PLEASE, we MUST NOT let these puppets run OUR university. We must not let them run their own agenda. We must strive for the best. TEXAS AGGIES seek the best for all, not just a few.
