@ttyler161 oh no i understand those are house lights or street lights but its the glowing light off in the distance that puzzles me =/... thanks for the comment and not being a jerk =]

@ALLbusinessPRO did you capture both videos of this event off the coast of Japan? Because there are two videos currently on youtube about it. So its an actual event.. I just have no idea if we are looking at the horizon on land or into the darkness of the ocean.. can you explain?

@TheBluntedKid yes both videos were captured from two different angles. It's hard to tell but the light was huge. It was brighter than any other light out there, any boat, any house... I mean i drive down the roads constantly at that time and never seen this glowing light before. It could have been a boat but it wasn't like any boat i know =/

@ALLbusinessPRO so are you in Tokyo? How much damage did you sustain at your residence? I hope your family n friends are safe. The images coming out of Japan are disastrous indeed. As for these vids you have posted.. do you know of any other eyewitness reports? Its impossible to tell from the vids if the object is in the air so.. if you get any other information please share.

@TheBluntedKid Well truth is I share this channel with two other friends. Both of which are in Japan, fine and managed to evacuate safely. They were the ones who answered your first question and posted this video, I honestly thought it was a joke but when I asked them they seemed dead serious they had no idea what it was. Apparently the light was just above the water and making it glow. I'll be sure to let them know you have questions when I hear from them tonight... Thank you for your concern.

These lights are actually common before earthquakes, scientists do not know what cause them tho.

Umm... if I can recall correctly strange lights appear before another previous earthquake in Japan. Reasons why - was the HAARP project. Search around you may find it.
