Fantastic cover by Leslie Feist, Lover's Spit. I do not own this music and the copyrights are given to the appropriate people etc.

  • So we should consider every song not sung by the writer to be a cover then? It's a Broken Social Scene song that's being sung by one of their band members... Why is this an argument?

  • @ogamus2006 ummm.. that argument holds no water, or spit, whatever you want... especially because leslie sings the song on one of the original versions; and it is clearly about them (her and kevin drew)... and most likely co-written... either way, as a cover it's pretty awesome. why do all music nerds have to such hacks??

  • This song is like being in heaven....

  • @joshuaaffonso uhh...yeah it is. kevin drew sings the song not her. it doesnt matter if she was in the band or not this is still a cover.

  • What a pleasure to see a beautiful woman holding a beautiful guitar.

  • @purrfekt79 It's just a matter of how you look at it. I wouldn't personally call this a cover but I certainly can see why it could be thought of as such. But congrats for having an opinion I guess.

  • @joshuaaffonso because she didn't publish it and didn't get credit for writing it. I don't see why it's hard to see that it's a cover.

  • she looks stunning in the picture you chose.

  • Yes I am aware of what record it's on. They are mighty different (IMO the version with Leslie Feist is far better) but were likely recorded around the same time by mostly the same people.

It's semantics really but it's just hard for me to see this as a cover.

  • @joshuaaffonso Her version is on Beehives (B-Sides album) and I would consider it a cover because it's originally a Kevin Drew song. While she was in the band (sort of always will be), her version is significantly different.
