CasaLucita, I think you have a gift for capturing the idea behind every Eva Cassidy song and rendering it into an extraordinarily beautiful and visually communicative medium. I have yet to watch one of your videos which did not evoke emotion in my heart. I think you and Eva Cassidy would have made great friends because you seem to have the ability to read what I can only imagine were the thoughts and feelings she had when she made these recordings. You are truly an artist in your own right.

Wow! Incredible vocal by Eva Cassidy and the visuals carried the mood of the song beautifully. I specially loved the smiling faces of children from all over the world. The excitement and wonder of being alive is written all over their faces.

sorry, there's something missing, no feeling of getting you into that wonderful place of dream, not good enough for me, each or own opinion.

Every time I hear this song, I picture John Lennon smiling and saying, "yeah, that works for me."

the biggest compliment i can pay to this cover is i am a huge lennon fan and there are songs by the beatles and lennon that should just be left alone! this being one of them, or so i thought! she captures the simple, child like approach to the song and adds her flavour to the mix! lennon+piano-eva+guitar= magic!

Wow! What an incredible angelic voice. She was only introduced to me by my neighbors on my birthday 31st Dec 2010, when they played their Songbird CD for me. Now I want every single song/video of her. I just can't imagine being without her!! How sad that she is not with us anymore, but her voice will fortunately be - thanks to modern technology!!! I love you Eva our Angel!!!
In an article released today MTV says Eva's cover of John Lennon's "Imagine" is one of the top five covers in the past 10 years. It went on to say:
"Released six years after her death, it showcases Cassidy's jaw-dropping voice above all else, which is why it's such a great version of the song. Tender and heartbreakingly simple, it sadly remains — like most of her work — vastly overlooked.

A new Eva Cassidy album entitled "Simply Eva" will be released at the end of January 2011. It is an acoustic album of Eva and her guitar. I have always been enchanted with a story Eva's mom, Barbara Cassidy, tells about Eva singing on the rooftop of the hotel where they were staying in Greece. A few minutes into Eva's impromptu concert, people of the village gathered in nearby windows to listen. This CD will give Eva's fans the opportunity to be on that rooftop.
