The three piece grille's were sold on the Daewoo's and the 2004-2005 US Suzuki models.

ah, makes more sense now. I had an 04 optra in canada and it had the single grill. it was after all a modified import. miss the car but barely drove it. the roads around here are not good and with the low profile tires and the stiff (good) suspension it was a nightmare sometimes.
