yes i live in edinburgh ive seen something similar to this in the sky next to edinburgh castle it was very bright! and looked like it was rotating. i have no idea what it could be.good video!

The same form frecuently appears, a principal object and little flashing lights flying near.

It's likely that you are seeing 'Chinese lanterns', but it would seem strange that they would be released during the day. Can you add more information like the time of day, estimated size and quantity - anything? Cheers.
