  • I don't get it... He doesn't seem to use his wrist a lot... Why did he end up with tendinitis? I feel so bad for the guy. Especially during the AO '11. I just hope his injury doesn't kill his potential.

  • @Khanhachan409 It's not actually the racket itself that's head heavy. It's all the lead tape. I know somebody who knows the guy that customizes rackets for a bunch of pros, and he had one of DelPo's racket's. My friend said that the entire inside of the frame was lined with lead tape, and that if you balanced it on your finger, it immediately tipped all the way towards the head.

  • @181erob what about Federer? he use to use that racquet

  • is easter grip??

  • Man, just watched him win a set 6-1 on clay vs Nadal but he lost the game. Definitely can be a top 4-5 player if he stays clear from injuries next year. Great player

  • it seems his grip is more of a "hammer" grip - the arm is more perpendicular to the racquet than most other pros, who angle their hands and wrist to align the racquet with the forearm.

  • @s900203 I actually think that I have the answer, possibly. DelPo is one of the few players on tour who use a head - heavy racket, which causes more stress on the arm than does a head - light one. I know somebody who has held one of his rackets, and he said that it was both the heaviest pro racket he's ever held, and that the entire hoop of the frame is practically mummified by lead tape, making the racket extremely head - heavy.

  • @dodododa That's eastern grip. It has nothing to do with the injury he had. I use the same grip with no problems.

  • I love how the forehand video has twice the amount of views the the backhand video.

  • He is like hitting with a hammer

  • delpo is hitting really well at the moment... hopefully he can beat djokovic and end his streak!
