Perfect World International - Genesis Developer Diary

Perfect World International is by far our most popular title and this expansion is our biggest yet. Clifton and Steven give you an in-depth look at all the new features that will be released with Genesis.

"There will be a time when the beautiful world will cease to exist as we know it today." With this prophecy, the stage was set for the all-new Earthguard race to emerge from their millennia-long hiding beneath the surface of the planet. The Earthguard are Blessed with clairvoyance by way of an all-seeing third eye, prepared to fulfill their prophesized destiny and lead the allied races of Perfect World through the coming disaster.

The Earthguard Seeker is a giant, heavy-plated force of destruction. Wielding a tremendous two-handed claymore, the Seeker is adept at absorbing damage as well as doling it out.

The Earthguard Mystic is an entirely different class, a multi-faceted caster equipped with AoE heals, direct damage spells, and the ability to get up close and personal using various summoned companions.

Genesis brings with it our first brand-new crafting skill since the original launch of PWI. Through Runecrafting, players will be able to carve runes that grant temporary buffs to weapons.

The Guild Base is an instance that only you and your faction mates will have access to, and within its four wings you will be able to work and quest together to obtain unique buffs, gear, and fashion.

We're excited to announce that the rewards inside Territory Wars are being reverted to their original amounts and we are doing a full territory reset!

We've got brand new dances in store for you—each Earthguard race/class combination has a unique dance, and we'll also be releasing brand new fashion that any character can wear to unlock even more dances!

I know you're hooked on this game, which is okay, but why do you have to lie? Fashion of all things in this game is NOT 50k.. more like ATLEAST 1mil - 5mil per piece. Only FRIENDS lend you mounts if they trust you, which happens everywhere.. DERP! This game is not fun, it's a thick grindfest that MAKES you grind to get to the "fun stuff" in the end.. which is what exactly? Doing higher leveled BHs and TT runs for money and materials? GW2 is not expensive and it stomps on PWI's tits

@AenimaJoe you cab buy cheap fashion in game for like 50k and stuff plus people giveaway coins and sometimes let u borrow fashion and flyers to be honest i understand what people say but most games are expencive what agmes out there are completly free? plus pwi has great races and classes and asweome mounts and flyers :D graphics are good and the character creation is the most indepth ive ever seen in a FREE Mmo Rpg x thanks for evening what i said erlyer guys :)

Plus all those pieces of fashions you talk about can only be bought through the cash shop at $1-10 a piece OR 1 mi - 5 mil coins per piece LOL. This is a type of MMO that yells out "Pay to Win."

PWE claims they have the "best free to play MMO in the market" but they know, oh boy, they fucking know that if people knew they were a "Pay to Win" MMO.. millions, if not THOUSANDS of potential players will avoid this MMO and wait for TOR, Guild Wars 2, or try a better MMO.

Yeah, PWI graphics are okay. Not the trees, the huge PAINTED ON doors in buildings, etc but it's okay when turned on MAX settings.

But the thing is that graphics alone don't make an MMO a good one. Rank armor and new weapons won't change the BORING, REPETITIVE, GLITCHY gameplay that this MMO has. Redo all the "Kill 20 goblins 0/20" quests and REMOVE all the recycled monster and NPC models AND boost up the drop rate to actually make money without GRINDING for it.. and we'll talk.

@AenimaJoe well it has some of the best graphics out there in a mmo and they now have rank armor witch is armor you get at higer levels for free but you haveto collect some things for it first and its is great looking and strong plus they have new weapons and rarely lags as it has the option to go to persnol best (which the graphics agusts to your computer) and they have the most cooliest flying and ground mounts i have ever seen in a mmo plus great fashion and good events xx GOOOO PWI XXX :D
