Blood Omen 2 - Kain Rescued Umah at the Sarafan Keep(Cutscene) (Gameplay)

The Sarafan Keep was the official headquarters of the vampire-hunting Sarafan order in Blood Omen 2. Kain had to infiltrate the Keep to rescue Umah, after she was captured in the Industrial Quarter. She had important information for the Cabal, but that would have been lost forever if she was executed. Predictably, the Sarafan Keep was heavily guarded. Kain visited the Bishop of Meridian for help, and learned of a reasonably safe way to break in.

Much of the Keep was ornately decorated, and it demonstrated the wealth of the Sarafan order. They effectively enforced martial law in Meridian, and they had become rich by imposing taxes on Nosgoth's people. In a main hall, a mural glorified the Sarafan Lord's victory over Kain, and the modern Sarafan insignia appeared everywhere. There were servants and nobles in these areas as well as the Sarafan Guards and Knights. At one point, Kain had to kill a nobleman named Artemis before a Cabal sympathizer would open a Ward Gate for him. Perhaps these nobles aligned themselves with the Sarafan to increase their own status, power and wealth. After all, under the Sarafan Lord, the Sarafan controlled all aspects of life in Meridian.

Kain eventually found Umah. She was imprisoned behind a Ward Gate on the Keep's roof. Kain killed the Glyph Knight and Sarafan Guards who were patrolling outside, and then freed her. As they emerged onto the roof, they were confronted by the Sarafan Lord. Kain was eager to fight there and then, but Umah restrained him. She used her teleportation skills to return herself and Kain to Sanctuary before the Lord could cut them down with the Soul Reaver.

What Kain says at 3:32 is damn good. He shows that he is not complete out of stone, and the only reason he killed Umah is cus she didn t trust him. Kain is right. Offer your savior trust.
