L&N 152 doing her usual trips, but with a rare and pleasant twist, she was wearing her original whistle. According to what I heard, it's rarely used because of thinning brass. Luckily, it was still on from a previous special event run. So please enjoy the sights and sounds of the wonderful 1905 Rogers pacific running through the beautiful Kentucky countryside at speed. Clips are in geographical order documenting the run from New Haven to Boston and back.

  • how on earth did a susquehanna coach get down there?? haha

  • very nice, she has an awesome whistle. I just came back from KRM. Our special caboose train was supposed to be pulled by her but she's down for major repairs and they subbed a diesel, but I did get a cab ride which was very cool. I've ridden a lot of trains but never in the cab, so that was an unexpected thrill.

  • A manual and automatic bell, that's different.

  • @Petemonster62 the streamliner was from the Western Maryland railroad and the car in the front is the Susquhanna cab car

  • @WorldOfNothin they hav a duplicat whistle of this one, its used all the time

  • reminds me of a prr t1 and oc 6325

  • lol love the horse crossing the tracks at the beginning!!! So they don't use the old whistle anymore? Well that sucks lol most engines are often associated with the sound of their whistles!!! I guess they can't some how duplicate it so it sounds the same???

  • @SR6900 The old L&N Lebanon Branch
