By combining the technologies of the GMX® and FTX® bullet design, the new MonoFlex™ bullet gives lever gun shooters the advantages of a monolithic bullet topped with the innovative Flex Tip® technology that allows hunters to load pointed bullets into tubular magazines without danger of primers being ignited under recoil.

I use Hornady FTX 160gr in my Marlin 336, but since the gun isn't even fully broken in yet, I am uncertain of how the monoflex tip will perform in the cold. Living in Alberta we experience some pretty cold weather and I know rubberized surfaces usually harden in the cold. Has the ammo been tested for that as well? I'm thinking it will perform properly, I just don't want my tube blowing up on my brand new gun by finding out myself the hard way if it doesn't. Anyone test it out below -20C yet?

I reloaded and used these this year for my .35 Remington for moose hunting. Because of the bullet construction, the same load I used for the 200gr Hornady Round Nose made the new Monoflex projectiles hit about 2 inches higher at 100 yards. They are not a cheap projectile but well worth the advantage of being able to load spitzers into tube mags and getting that added down range performance and added distance. Fantastic bullets! Let's hope .375 Winchester Monoflex components are next! PLEASE lol
